How can I view a larger and/or higher quality version of an image?
If you click the image you will be directed to a full-size, high-quality version of the image.
I am looking at the cover of a booklet/book. Can I see the other pages?
Generally, yes. If you click the front cover you will be directed to high-quality images of all the pages.
Can I search for a particular name or word?
Yes. You can use the search in the top right corner of this page to search our collections for a name or word. This search will return a list of results. You can click on any of the results to view that particular object in our collection. Additionally, if an object has lots of printed text you can search the text within the object. Simply click the image of the object until you open a pdf file, and then click Ctrl+F on your keyboard to search the text within the object.
Can I use an image from QE Collections?
Generally, yes. Unless otherwise stated, images on this website are made available under a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Licence
This means you can use these images for any non-commercial purpose. You should attribute the original source and the licence.
Does this website contain all of the material in QE Collections?
No. Only a very small amount of our collections have so far been made available online. We are constantly putting more material online. To find out more about how you can help fund digitisation, please click here >

Does QE Collections have links with other cultural heritage organisations?
QE Collections was conceived and developed with help and guidance from colleagues at Wellcome Collection, Glasgow School of Art, University of Strathclyde, University of Westminster, Barnet Museum, Barnet Archives, Hertfordshire Archives, as well as a number of school archives. The project has received written support from Barnet Museum, Barnet Archives and Local Studies, Hertfordshire Archives and Local Studies, Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London Martin Russell, and Theresa Villiers MP for Chipping Barnet.
