By the time this photograph was taken, the building was no longer being used for Elizabeth Allen's School — it had become the London Borough of Barnet Teachers Centre. The site of the building is on the corner of Wood Street and Hillside Gardens.

The building directly behind was one of the first purpose-built for Queen Elizabeth's Girls' School: it was part of buildings that were started in 1895 and completed in 1909.
