The image on the photo postcard (Item 021 - photo 2 of 3) is a detail from a photo which appeared in a local newspaper article dated 9th January, 1970, and was probably taken the previous summer. By the time the larger one was taken Item 022 (photo 3 of 3) (1972?) the number of staff car parking spaces in front of the school had trebled, reflected from a 3-form to a 6-form entry.

Headmaster William Lattimer was Chairman of the Sports Committee and oversaw the activities on the Playing Fields of the Grammar School in Blenheim Road (today Stapylton Fields). They included races both for boys and girls and for soldiers, as well as Morris Dance performances.
The building on the cover of the programme labeled 'Barnet U.D. Council Offices' now serves as the Coroner's Court for the Northern District of Greater London (Barnet, Brent, Enfield, Haringey and Harrow). 29 Wood Street, Barnet, Herts, EN5 4BE
